For the discerning collector of glass, Akua Objects presents the Rosenborg Wall Lamp - a luminous object defined by playful swirling contrasts and a subtle homage to Venetian craftsmanship. Handmade in Murano, each piece reflects the enduring traditions of old-world Venice, interpreted through Akua’s contemporary design language.

The design originated from some of Annika’s most instinctive drawings to date. Developed through a series of cardboard studies, the silhouette was shaped by a desire to create an object with antique charm and a distinctly refined modern expression.

Inspired by antique lidded bonbonnières and 19th-century Copenhagen street lamps, the wall lamp conceals its light source within a softly rounded opaline form, allowing light to gently wash across the wall. A contrasting coloured line encircles the silhouette, while a delicate swirl crowns the lid, adding a playful yet elegant touch.

The palette draws inspiration from the luminous beauty of ancient stones and pearls. Shades of amethyst, jade, coral, and turquoise influence both the colours and decorative details throughout the Rosenborg Collection, creating a piece that feels at once precious, timeless, and distinctly modern.
