The Alban Vases is the newest addition to the Alban collection that was designed before Akua Objects was founded. The collection was sketched in 2019, while Annika’s first-born son, Alban, was still growing in her belly. The symbol of growing life and the remembrance of the poppy, gave life to Akua Objects first collected drawings, which today represent a collection named after Alban.

The Alban Vase convey a contemporary take on the poppy that has always been close to Annika’s heart. The glasses sometimes carry small bubbles of air, eternally capturing the breath of the glass blower.
