Echoing the familial ties between Karen Blixen and Akua Objects, the Blixen Collection pays homage to timeless craftsmanship while embracing the language of design. Named in honor of Karen Blixen, the collection draws inspiration from the gentle rhythm of the ocean’s waves, translating nature’s fluidity into sculptural design. 

The design of each piece mirrors the ocean’s organic forms, capturing soft silhouettes and the subtle play of light across the table. Carafes and bowls are shaped with flowing edges that seamlessly converge, reflecting the endless dance of water in motion. Every curve and contour is carefully considered, embodying the serene elegance of the sea while inviting tactile interaction.

Blixen is a Venetian-produced collection, bringing together Italian glass heritage and poetic sensibility. Featuring carafes, vases, and bowls, the collection celebrates Murano’s centuries-old mastery of glass. Since the 13th century, Venetian artisans have transformed molten glass into luminous, sculptural forms. Today, the Blixen Collection continues this tradition, where design and craftsmanship unite to create pieces that are as functional as they are visually enchanting.
